Taking you from a moonlit ritual performed under a rimu tree, to a house party at the centre of the Universe, to the future where vapes have become Earth’s most precious commodity. Each bold and fresh scene offers a window into a new story hitting the stage for the very first time.

The Excerpts is a collection of nine new scenes, taken from nine new plays written by participants of the 2024 Emerging Writers Table.

Featuring scenes written by Becky Button, Uhyoung Choi, Alex de Vries, Te Huamanuka Luiten-Apirana, Abby Irwin-Jones, Leroy Nurkka, Leilani Tamu, Luka Wolfgram, & Nuanzhi Zheng.
