In-school Workshops & Zoom Briefings
We look forward to working with you and your ākonga to experience and unpack live performance.
Creative Learning workshops share tools, techniques and methodologies directly from the rehearsal room into your classroom. Workshops are designed to fit within your timetable. In each workshop there will also be time for questions, discussion, and reflection.
IN-SCHOOL STUDENT WORKSHOPS
- Pre-show workshop to prepare students to see the play. Post-show workshop to dig deeper into each performance. 50-minutes in duration.
- $100 per workshop
- Shorter versions of our pre-show and post-show workshops can be delivered via Zoom, directly into your classroom.
- $55 per Zoom workshop, including a 25-minute creative workshop and 10-minute Q&A.
Education Resources & Recordings
Production Recordings
Every kaiako who books for a production in 2024 receives a free recording of the dress rehearsal for in-class revision.
Education Packs
An education pack, including curriculum linked resources and exercises, will be available on opening night of each Creative Learning production.
Post-show Q&As
Every 11am performance for ākonga is followed by an optional 20 minute Q&A with the creatives and cast involved in the production. ATC's Teaching Artists facilitate the kōrero, with questions from ākonga in the theatre.
Digital Classroom
Bring theatre to your classroom. The Digital classroom is an expanding bank of videos and learning resources for school students across Aotearoa, available free of charge.
Chekhov’s The Seagull, a new online version by Eli Kent and Eleanor Bishop
Chekhov’s The Seagull, a new online version by Eli Kent and Eleanor Bishop, directed by Eleanor Bishop brings a landmark piece of theatre to the 21st century, creating a new form of drama off-stage and onto Zoom.
Chekhov's The Seagull was presented in four 30 minute episodes in April 2020 as Aotearoa New Zealand was in the middle of a COVID-19 lockdown.
