Open House
The Open House Programme is designed to support the independent theatre community by providing a space for development, rehearsals and workshops.
At Auckland Theatre Company you can book our rehearsal space as part of our Open House programme, or borrow props and costumes from our store.
Our rehearsal studios in Mt Eden are a hub of activity. Where space is available, we offer it for free for artists creating new work or holding workshops or auditions.

Open House is an Auckland Theatre Company Programme to offer free studio space to independent artists or companies rehearsing or workshopping new work.
Open House Bookings are available to independent artists and companies for activities that meet the following conditions:
- Your activity must be provided for free to all participants
- Your activity must be non-commercial in nature
- Priority is given to independent artists workshopping or rehearsing theatre or live performance
Auckland Theatre Company Studios are versatile rehearsal spaces which can be used for rehearsals, classes, showings of works-in-progress, and forums.
