The Auckland Theatre Company season features a mix of new plays by New Zealand playwrights, new international works, classic plays, and new adaptations of classic plays. Our programming balances the adventurous and the populist, new talent and leading practitioners, and comedy and tragedy.

Although the artists who create work for our annual season are typically highly experienced, we are also committed to supporting the professional development of emerging artists. If you are an emerging artist who wishes to be considered for opportunities at Auckland Theatre Company, please invite us to see your work.

We recommend sending an initial invitation well in advance of your show opening. We are a small team and appreciate getting as much notice as possible to attend your event.
